The new autum menu is here!

Lyon's specialty le saucisson en brioche (veal and pistachio sausage in a brioche pastry) is only one of the delicious new items on the entree menu. 
Mains include suckling pig stuffed with confit garlic and prunes marinated (for a week) in cognac, andouillettes (tripe sausage) and duck with apples and calvados just to mention a few. 
Swiss Fondue (4 cheeses) and Steak Tartare don't need to ordered anymore, they are both on the regular menu most nights.

Gourmet Kids menu

This is a new one. We used to tailor kids menus on the spot, it is now a proper menu. We are still giving full priority to serving kids and we guarantee that they will have their food within 5 minutes of ordering.

Private dinners in your home or at the restaurant

Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays we can bring the French restaurant into your home for as few as 4 and up to 70 people. We design your menu with you, choose your wines and the music together. We bring everything and clean up when we finish... you don' have to lift a finger.
  • Private dinners at the restaurant
Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays you can book the restaurant for a private function of 20 people or more.
We design the menu, choose the wine and the music (live is also an option) together. We can also work with small budgets...

Cooking classes

I have been invited to conduct a hands on cooking class at the Ballina Cooking School. 
On the menu:
  • Duck liver and candied orange peels pate,
  • rabbit in mustard,
  • tarte Tatin
And we will also have lunch at the end of the 4 hour class...

French wines by the glass

Our range of French wines by the glass has increased to include several favourites such as a Bordeaux and Cotes du Rhone.

The famous Cachou Lajaunie will be back next week.
Also next week a beautiful New Zealand cider will be added to our extensive drink list.
